Requirements For Comptia Course Certification

CompTIA is an incredible way to get your career on the road. The training enables you to work on PCs, laptops, mobile devices, operating systems and PCs as a professional. CompTIA course standardizes your skills making you a globally competitive IT professional. With hundreds of thousands having acquired this certification, you will be competing with the most skilled in the industry and earning handsome returns.

Individuals getting into the IT field have several options. System Security Plus is a certification category that targets access control, network infrastructure and organizational safety. It enhances your competence in identity management, cryptography, deterrence and mitigation as well as vulnerability and network attack assessment. These are very lucrative positions for IT professionals.

IT Technician Plus requires completion of both technical and practical papers. With up to six months of experience in the lab or field work, you stand a very good chance with this qualification. It is a short course that places you way ahead of entry level technicians. You will gain the skills to install, configure and upgrade software in work stations as well as maintain a computerized work environment.

Linux plus is for those targeting the Linux Operating System as administrators, operators, installers and troubleshooters. The training expands your knowledge of the system beyond what many beginners have. It acts as a stepping stone to such qualifications as Oracle Certified Associate.

The CompTIA Network Certificate is for individuals targeting installation, media and configuration. Some of the roles that require this certificate include Internet System Administrator, Installation Specialist and Network Support Technician. It covers world concepts that can be applied in a myriad of roles. It gives you necessary knowledge to advance to such levels as MS MCITP/MCSE and Cisco Certified Network Associate, among others.

The Server Plus course targets individuals interested in the hardware and software of servers. It gives you the skills you require to effectively install, configure, diagnose and troubleshoot different servers. It also involves a study of the supporting architecture and expansion cards so that you can easily configure and upgrade the firmware of your system.

There are two basic examinations that are mandatory before registering for any of the above courses. They are A Plus 220-801 and A Plus 220-802. The aim of the 801 exam is to introduce you to computer basics. You also will learn how to install, configure and network laptops, desktops and their related hardware devices.

A Plus 802 offers more advanced skills including installation and configuration of operating systems on computerized devices and PCs. It also introduces you to connectivity features and integration of communication platforms like emails. You also will learn how such operating systems as Apple iOS and Android work.

The examination involves ninety multiple choice questions with the test being performance based. The candidate is given ninety minutes to complete the test. A person with six months lab or field experience stands a better chance.

Individuals targeting certification have the option of studying in a class or enrolling for an online course. Some colleges offer the instructions in different languages including German, Japanese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Portuguese, among others. The pass mark for both papers is between 675 and 700 depending on the overall score.
